We are all alive and breathing. I am such a slacker on posting I just realized that it has almost been an entire year since I last posted. A ton has happened and I mean a TON. So here are the random happenings since our last post and by no means are these sane thoughts that are in order so just bear with me. Haylie turned 3 in Feb. and I wish with all my might that the terrible two would go away, but apparently we have hit the terrible three's. yippee. Bryan turned 1 in Jan. Yes he is still alive and we made it through his first year. Barely. He has been to the doctor almost every month for some sort of problem or another, from ear infections to our latest doctor visit for strep throat. Another yippee. Although we are very blessed that the kids have such great insurance. We purchased a season pass to the zoo, which we are very excited about. With Darren in school and working full-time we have become major hermits, so if we haven't called or talked to anyone it is not because we don't want to it is just lack of oomp to do so. A HUGE SORRY! to anyone we might have offended. Hence it is a Friday night and my birthday and what am I doing? I am writing on my blog. We are so LAME!!!
A Major event that took place for mi familia is Haylie and Bryan spent a week with Grandma and Grandpa Melser while Darren and I went to The Big Apple. I am pretty sure my parents are still trying to recover from my very, very, very emotional kiddos. But we love them VERY Much for doing so. The trip itself was very fun I will have to see if I can find my camera and load some pictures. (tiny side note our camera totally broke in New York half way through the trip. And I believe that qualifies for another yippee.)
Darren and I went to see Eclipse on Tuesday at the midnight showing (thanks again Kyrsta) and it was by far my favorite movie out of the three. I love the comedy that was placed throughout the script.
Totally changing subject here but Haylie is developing this little attitude and last night we were talking and she informed me in a very bossy voice that I am no longer married to Daddy because she is married to Daddy. That little girl makes me laugh. Well I am being informed by the three year old that it is bed time so farewell until next time which is hopefully sooner then the last time.

Darren had a little accident this weekend with a dresser and a bed of a truck. He was helping Kelly and Sterling move-in this weekend and when they were unloading the dresser he slipped and his pinky finger got caught in between the dresser and the bed of the truck. Sterling and him had it bandaged when he came into the house but I insisted he went to the ER. While in the ER he took a few picturs for me so I could share them with all of you.Blood lots of blood

Seriously one of the funniest Comedians out there. Darren and I saw Brian Regan on Saturday it was pretty awesome. I would have to say his brother was as good if not better. If you would like to hear his brother his name is Dennis Regan. It was nice to have a night out without children. THANK YOU, THANK YOU Big Bryan and Liz.

Embarrassing might be an understatement. But I will admit it was pretty funny. I was telling Haylie goodbye because Big Bryan and Liz were Babysitting our little rugrats so we could go to BRIAN REGAN. Well Haylie didn't want us to go so I thought of the first toy that came to mind and said "Haylie go play with Davin's balls". Open mouth insert foot. I am such a dork.

I am sticking with weight loss and have lost 3.5 lbs. in a week. That is almost twice of what I originally wanted to lose in a week, so YAHOO!!! I can do this. I have been watching my calorie intake better and also making sure I exercise everyday either strength or cardio. Just one day at a time. Wish me luck.

Biggest Loser Challenge

I know you have all seen the weight loss ticker at the top of my blog and are wondering why I am posting what I weigh. Two reasons actually, The Griffith family is having a Biggest Loser Competition minus a few people and second If I know that everyone can see my weight I will have more incentive to lose weight. To be 211 is embarrising so I am going to do something about it. I am hoping to lose at least 2 lbs or more a week. I am going to make the change to never weight this much again. EVER!!! Wish me luck.

Okay so I have officially lost my camera. We have done some really fun things though, such as going to the Zoo with Liz, Davin, Amy and Siley ( I hope I spelled that right). We had a ton of fun letting the kids pet the goats, playing on the toys and splashing about at the water pad. I loved watching the kids play they are very funny. I am truly grateful for Liz and Amy and the amazing friends they are. We are so blessed to have them in our lives. Thanks Liz and Amy for coming to the Zoo with the Kids and I.

We blessed Bryan on Sunday. It was alot of fun having family in town. We miss those who were unable to make it.

I bought Haylie a new suit for summer and since I needed to know if it would fit why not take a few pictures. I am bad I decided to go with a two piece because if I am going to have to deal with potty training I need easy access. By the way it is one with a life vest that you can tak on or off.

This last weekend I went and stayed in Thatcher. I say weekend but it really turned into a almost a week. I am okay with that. I love my parents and I am kind of attached. We went up on Friday and planned on staying til Monday, well that turned into Tuesday and Tuesday turned into Wednesday. It was a ton of fun just hanging out with my parents and I am pretty sure my kids loved it. While there I saw a cute dress for Haylie so I bought and made some cute bows to go with it. Since I am getting slack for not posting to many pics of the little ones I took a few pictures of them after church. The last one is my favorite.

Haylie LOVES Mickey Mouse but she may have a new favorite, Wow, Wow Wubbzy. I got sick of watching Mouse everyday all day so I decided to find a new channel. Noggin is great it plays kid friendly shows all day, which is great so I don't have to turn on the DVR all the time. ( Hallejuah ). It has become rather hilarious watching Haylie debate if she wants Mouse or Wubbzy, she changes her mind frequently. Turn on Mouse no Wubbzy. Turn on Wubbzy no Mouse. That's my goob.

Haylie's B'day was Feb. 16 and now that things have calmed down just a little bit I can post. We took Haylie to Amazing Jake's with Kelly, Sterling and Kyrsta. Sorry if anyone wanted to come it was just kind of a last minute plan. We had tons of fun playing video games and watching Kyrsta and Halie ride the rides.

Hooray he is home. We were able to bring him home on Wednesday. There have already been some interesting moments. For example this is my first boy, so I am not well trained on the shooter. He wasn't even home for 3 hrs. before he got the wall, the changing table, myself and his face. Yes that is right, his face. I hope I'll get this down soon. Well he is in my arms asleep and I am typing with one hand, so I am going to sign off for now.

Baby Bryan News

Okay so I know everyone is waiting for another update on Bryan. As some of you know he is not home yet, but hopefully soon. He has been eating on his own so they took out the feeding tube and they took him off oxygen. We need to wait 24 hours to just make sure he is out of the woods. The nurses say more than likely Wednesday, but we haven't talked to the physician to see what he says. Just keep him in your prayers and we'll pray he comes home sooner rather than later.

Bryan is doing great. He is on a low dosage of oxygen, still is breathing faster than he should, and is on antibiotics. We are hoping he will be getting out on Monday, if all goes well. Will post more when we know more.

New Baby Boy

Today we welcomed Bryan Naylor Griffith into the world. Born at 12:40 p.m., weighing 6 lbs 14 ounces and 19.5 inches long. I am doing fine, but the baby is having some breathing problems. Hopefully I will be able to go and see him real soon.Last belly shot Cute little Bryan, and yes that is a full head of brown hair.

I am going in for my C-section today. Hooray. I am very excited to see Bryan and excited to not be carrying around this extra weight. Not so much excited for recovery though, but we will see. Wish me LOTS of luck.

For Christmas we spent it in Gilbert with Kelly and Sterling in the morning Grandma and Grandpa Griffith in the afternoon. I realized our camera was not working so great a few days before Christmas, so I only got a few shots. On Christmas morning we had to wake Haylie up. Weird huh waking a kid up for Christmas. We decided we would only open up a few presents on Christmas day because we were doing Christmas on the Jan. 4 with all of Darren's fam.

I went and saw my new OB, who agreed I was pregnant. He looked at the baby and said I am thinking of doing another C-Section. Well I had already decided to do another C-Section, since Haylie's delivery was so "wonderful". My official C-Section date is set for Jan. 26, which takes off almost two weeks of pregnancy. YEAH!!!!! I am really excited to be able to see my new addition to the family. I really can't wait.

Darren and I have moved to Gilbert last week and have been super busy trying to organize our stuff. Darren finished painting Haylie's room earlier this week. I was supposed to blog about this earlier so my Mom could see what a great job he did. Better late then never, I guess. But he painted all the walls white except one he painted pink. I then went and found believe it or not wall stickers at the Dollar Store and I had already made her name. Thanks Kyrsta for the bedspread really gave me good ideas. It was fun decorating a space just for Haylie. She has been really excited to go upstairs and play with her toys.

Thanksgiving weekend was a ton of fun, my brothers Levi and Travis' fam came down. We also had Darren's family down for Denise's wedding. We always enjoy family being around. This is the story of how the "Beautiful Fairy" became the "Tired and Topless Fairy"

This year for Halloween I got to dress up Haylie. I was very excited to dress her up as a fairy until the night before Halloween she got a hold of some scissors and put a hole in her wings. AARRGGHH! She proceeded on her destruction trip the night of Halloween to rip the top of her wand and when she got mad she started ripping out the ribbons to her bows. The icing on the cake was she became a topless fairy because she got completely wet. She played in a water bucket that was like the duck ponds at the fair. I was having a little bit of STRESS. We made it thru though and Haylie had bunches of fun. My favorite part of the night was we got her to finally say trick or treat but when we get to some ones house she would close her mouth and just hold out her bucket.

This last weekend we went to Taylor to visit Travis' clan. We had a huge blast. Darren is already planning with Travis the next time we can go up. Snowflake has a pumpkin patch and a corn maze. The corn maze was pretty fun, but with three cranky children after 10 minutes it was time to hurry. I was happy we decided to get the map to the maze. We definitly got some good pictures out of this though.

Graham County Fair

This weekend was Fair weekend. We went to the fair saw some exhibits and watched the Parade. Below are the fabulous pictures. Haylie walked for most of the time. But when she got tired she just sat down in the middle walkway.
Haylie liked the sheep as long as it didn't turn around. Once it did she went running.

A few weeks ago Darren, Haylie and I went down to the valley. While there we went to Bass Pro Shop. We saw these tiny four wheelers and put Haylie on one, needless to say she loved it. When we went camping with the Griffith's Haylie would run after anyone who took off on a four wheeler. Maybe when she is older, alot older we will see about getting her own. For now everyone has to have a dream. The first 2 pics are taken off my phone at Bass Pro and the last three are taken at the Graham County Fair. I know this is blurry but it was just too cute.

Potty Training is on our list of things to teach Haylie. We couldn't get her to sit on the toilet so we let her play with Daddy's phone(hehe), while mommy takes pictures with her phone.Doesn't she look so cute with that wild hair.

Darren's poor aching back....

We have had a questions about Darren and his back, so I am responding to the inquiries. A couple of weeks ago Darren was tossing Haylie up and down he went. We don't know exactly what happened. All I know is I came home from work to Darren hunched over grabbing his knees. He told me that this was the only comfortable position that he could walk. He went to the chiropractor and he wasn't there but his assistant "thought" he could. It made it worse. He went back the next day and saw the chiropractor that sort of helped. By the end of the week he couldn't take it so he went to a doctor and got x-rayed. They think he has a compressed disc. He has a pain pill, muscle relaxer and an anti-inflammatory. He is a little loopy. We are just letting him relax and hoping each day maybe he will be able to walk for longer than fifteen minutes.

Last weekend was the Salsafest. Aleesha, Haylie and I went last night while Darren, his aching back and Paul hung out at the house. They had Hot Air Balloons all down Main Street. We missed it when they had all them. They had a few people still blowing the flames and one balloon still up. It was pretty amazing to see how big they really are.

While on Main St. Gingerbread House had some clearance items out and I got Haylie's Halloween Costume. There was some pretty pink wings and a purple fairy skirt. Can anyone guess what Haylie is going to be? There was also some bands playing, which of course Haylie had to get down and dance. I love that little girl.

Saturday's Salsa Fest wasn't as good as Friday but okay. Darren, Haylie, Paul, Aleesha, Katie, Lucy, Kelly and I all went. The girls got to play in the jump house and we saw the Jalapeno eating contest. One person did throw up but it was interesting to see how red their faces got. After that we decided to head on back home for some good AC.

Tucson

My dad had a Dr. appt. today in Tucson. Darren was supposed to go with him but Darren kind of threw out his back (again) poor guy. He is going to the Dr. tomorrow to find out why. I hope everything is okay. Well since he hurt himself I got to go in his place. We get in the car and try setting up the GPS Unit, Crud, it doesn't work. Ran to Walmart to get a new charger, it doesn't fit. Scratch that idea, we will just have to find our way the old fashion way. Yeah me, I found my way to Mi Nidito's without the GPS. The reason Darren really wanted to go was because he wanted Mi Nidito's. too bad sucker. j/k. Don't worry, I brought some home for him. I kept thinking we would just have to get our food to go because the wait would be so long. The wait was only five minutes. SWEET. We sit down get our drinks which somehow the waitress thought we wanted lemonade. After we get our food it wasn't as good as I remembered. Haylie wouldn't even take a second bite. She started scraping what was in her mouth off her tongue. Then some other waitress drops off a couple drinks, a water and an iced tea. definetly not what we ordered, so we put it on the edge for the elusive waitress. Where did she go? Dad got up with Haylie when we finished eating and guess what. Remember that Iced Tea, of course Dad turns Haylie and her foot kicked it right at me. I don't think the host had ever seen a pregnant lady move so quick, it barely got the side of me. WHOOH! All in a great day of Carla Mishaps.

So I posted early that Haylie had gotten into the cake and I couldn't find my camera. Well, just as luck would be she did it again and I had found the camera.

Grandma Sue's B-day

Grandma Sue's Birthday is today. Happy Birthday Grandma!! Well I wish I would of known where my camera was last night. Sis. Perkins brought over cake and ice cream for grandma. When everyone had left the kitchen Haylie had pulled over a chair and was sticking those little fingers in the cake and having a good time. Yes, that is my mischievous daughter. We love these crazy moments from her. I can't believe I couldn't find the camera. grrr.

Dentist

So Haylie had her 1st Dentist apointment on Monday down in Gilbert. I didn't take any pictures but she did really well. At first she didn't want to let the dentist touch her teeth but she opened up eventually . Mt. Graham

So this last weekend we went to Mt Graham with our friends Paul, Aleesha and some of Paul's family. The weather was beautiful. We played horseshoes and had a little picnic. Haylie loved getting dirty and trying to help Darren and Paul play horseshoes. Here are a few pics from are little trip. Haylie looked so cute covered in dirt

So I decided to get this going finally as I sit here with my daughter sleeping on Daddy's lap. Life has been going good as most everyone already knows we moved in with my parents, due to the recent unemployment of our apartment managing job. Don't worry we are not complaining. We finally have some time to do things for ourselves, and that is fantastic. Haylie just started going to nursery a few weeks ago. And I no longer teach. YEAH!! She is having a blast and playing really well with the others.

Darren and I are expected are second in February. We are both very excited for our new bundle. We should find out what we are having on Sept. 17. We will be sure tro let everyone know.
